Misfits Introduction to Handstands Workshop: Brighton

“Handstands? I’d love to try them, but I’m not sure where to start…” If that sounds familiar, this workshop is for you. Handstands are a great way to explore balance, control, and trust in your body – no gymnastics experience required!
‘Introduction to Hand Balancing & Handstands’ is a beginner-friendly, skill-building session designed to help you develop strength, body awareness, and confidence on your hands.
You can expect a relaxed, supportive environment with space to explore at your own pace. You’ll come away with practical drills, alignment cues, and a clearer sense of how to build a solid foundation for hand balancing, whether you’re trying it for the first time or looking to refine your form.
If you’ve never tried anything like it before, that’s completely fine. As long as you’re comfortable weight-bearing through your hands (in a down dog or planking position), there’ll be plenty to explore in this session. If you’re someone who has heaps of experience doing handstands, please do still come along to play, but be aware that the session is an ‘introduction to’ and will cater to beginners.
